Trudy Turner, our Community Life Director is seen below sharing her Watermark University course with our residents. This special project is filled with a lot of love and prayers for some of God’s precious angels, The Babies in Baylor Medical Center in Frisco NIC Unit.
The Baylor Frisco Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides advanced life-support services and technologies for premature and seriously ill newborns. Staffed by specialized nurses, nutritionists, neonatologists and many other skilled staff, the unit is designed to promote optimal developmental care for sick infants.
Parkview in Frisco has partnered with the NIC Unit to help bring a little joy at a difficult time. We offer prayers and a soft fleece blanket, made with love. This special project doesn’t only give the families a sense of hope, but it gives our residents a chance to be apart of a project that is meaningful with a purpose. Having purpose creates an atmosphere where our residents thrive with a heart beat that’s golden, knowing they made a difference.
Trudy’s goal is 100 blankets by Christmas, wrapped in pastel colored baby paper and placed in beautiful baby bags. Also included will be a note of encouragement. Her motto is ” What comes from the heart, reaches the heart”. Here at Parkview our residents’ hearts are beating strong, if you would love to join us, please stop by!
