Parkview’s Culture Corner “LUAU” Features Grace Hula Company

Grace Hula Dance Entertainment Company also have a dance school in the DFW area that teaches Hula, Tahitian, and Maori dancing. Grace Hula Dance Company began oceans away in beautiful Cagayan de Oro, Philippines; and was founded by the current instructor and Alaka’i Hula: Grace Kalake Evangelista, in April 1998. GHD moved to Texas in March 2001, and began performing at numerous local festivals, senior living communities and schools. Now, Parkview is fortunate to experience this wonderful culture developed by this awesome company.

The evening began with an ocean view in place. The beautiful Grace Hula Dancers set the stage by greeting our residents with leis and Hawaiian music. Some of the Parkview Steppers and Staff, joined in and had a great time learning how to Hula. Our Hawaii Five-O King Howard Matson was the highlight of the evening. The Parkview Family cheered him on as he stole the show!

We send a special thanks, to the Grace Hula Dancers for sharing their Aloha spirit with The Parkview Family.
