Vaughn Elementary 5th Grade Classes Celebrate with Parkview Residents

Fifth Graders from Vaughn Elementary School in Frisco usually celebrate the end of their elementary years by going bowling or something similar, but this year, they opted for something different, something extra special! These 88 students wanted to serve the Frisco community, so they chose to spend their morning at Parkview with our residents, including their school’s namesake, Sammy Vaughn. The reality became clear in the planning process for this celebration, that the best way that they could serve here was simply by having a blast with our residents. The students and residents spent a little time getting to know each other and then the real fun began. They played high energy “Minute to Win It” games and had limbo lines with music, which all made for a celebration that kept everyone laughing and connected them in a memorable way. The students were divided among our three communities, The Gardens, The Inn, and Town Center so that everyone could experience the fun. Both residents and students enthusiastically commented on how much fun they had, and we even made it onto the Channel 5 News! What a great time for both our residents and these very wonderful students!
