The Parkview Family worked diligently throughout the year preparing and praying over the nursery fleece blankets. Special project “KNOT BLANKETS OF LOVE” was a huge success. Trudy Turner our Community Life Director and her assistants Christianne Martineau & Sheree McKinley along with the Parkview Family enjoyed completing a six month project which produced 25 lovely blankets presented in beautiful baby bags and pastel tissue. Our Knot Blanket of Love Club presented two families at the unit personally. One family allowed us to wrap the baby in one of our blankets and take pictures. This moment in time will be etched in our hearts forever! We also met a family with twins, a boy and a girl. The families thanked us and allowed us to enjoy their beautiful bundles of joy for a few minutes. Congratulations for a job well done ladies!
Awesome are the hearts that inspire, encourage and lift up people at difficult times. Trudy’s motto is “What comes from the heart, reaches the heart”. This project showed the heart of our community and the people in it. An exchange of kindness was seen and felt at the Baylor Scott & White NIC Unit in Frisco, Texas a few days before Christmas. A Christmas miracle for us all, indeed!
Our Community Life Program creates opportunities to reach beyond the walls and into the community. Watermark University is the platform Trudy used to share her passion and her story! Each of us have a story to tell and knowledge to share. We extend this platform to you!
